Best Personal Finance Blogs In 2010, And Ones To Watch In 2011

By //  by Khaleef Crumbley

Well, as I stated in my post listed all of my stats and supporters from 2010, I never heard of a blog until last year. That being said, I still decided to create a list of the best personal finance blogs of 2010.

Since I have been introduced to a number of sites that I enjoy reading, I will break this up into smaller lists. You will notice that I have used bullets to organize the list rather than numbers. That is because I am just listing my favorite sites, not ranking them in any particular order!

I will also list a few sites to watch for in 2011. These represent sites that I didn’t discover until the end of 2010, or sites about which I have read good things, but am not very familiar with their writing.

Here are the…

These are the sites that boldly proclaim the authority of God’s word within their writing, and also produce great financial content!

  • Invest It Wisely

  • Consumerism Commentary

  • Free From Broke

  • Len Penzo

  • Darwin’s Money

  • Watson Inc

  • Fiscal Geek

Up and coming PF sites:

  • Yakezie – The members (many of whom are on other lists here) are beginning to write posts for the site daily, so you’ll be sure to find great content there in 2011!

Best “Personal” Finance Sites

These are my favorite writers in terms of taking lessons from their lives and applying it to personal finance.

  • Aloysa’s Kitchen Sink

  • Yes, I Am Cheap

  • Everyday Tips and Thoughts

  • Budgeting In The Fun Stuff

  • Personal Finance Firewall

How I Feel About Money Today – 10.23.10

By //  by Khaleef Crumbley

A few weeks ago I came across a post asking and answering a few questions about money. I thought it was a good idea to answer these questions each week and to track the changes. I got this idea from My Pretty Pennies, and here is her most recent post.

The idea is that you list five questions about money and answer them each week. The first four questions stay the same, and the fifth one changes each week. I think it will be fun for us to look back over time and see how our answers have changed!

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on _____.

$70 in gas – Had to make a couple of long trips.

2. Today I feel _______towards money.

Intent on being organized – You’ll be reading why soon…just know that it has to do with $0.57!

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was_____________.

Having devotion with my wife over the phone (we were apart for a few days this week).

4. I will consider this week a success if I _____________.

Schedule 5 articles in advance (for this and two other sites) by the time this weekend is over.

5. My favorite cereal is ____________________.

Resees Puffs 😆 !!! I tried them for the first time last week, because I got a box for pennies at CVS! They have dethroned Frosted Flakes and Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch 😯 .

So, there you have it! I plan to answer these questions once a week (changing the 5th one), and I hope you’ll join me. Please answer these questions in the comments, and discuss each other’s answers. I also want to hear your feedback about my answers.

__

Here are the questions without my answers, so you can copy them:

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on _____.

2. Today I feel _______towards money.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was_____________.

4. I will consider this week a success if I _____________.

5. My favorite cereal is ____________________ .

Exciting News for KNS Financial!

By //  by Khaleef Crumbley

I have been asked to be a staff writer over at Redeeming Riches! I have been a fan of Redeeming Riches for a while now, and it was definitely a surprise and an honor to be asked to join the site!

Jason (the owner of Redeeming Riches) has a wonderful site that I have always admired. The writing is very clear and biblical and he encourages discussion in the comments.

Also, this is one of the best site designs that I know of – so hopefully you’ll see a few improvements at KNS Financial as well.

Jason conducted an interview of me in order to give his readers a chance to get to know me a little better. Of course, I realize that I haven’t even done that for my own website, so you now have the chance to learn a little more about me!

Please go over and check out my interview, and be sure to leave a comment. Then take a look around the site and read some of the great content that he has up! I promise that you’ll enjoy it.

Be sure that you share the article on all the social networks (Tip’d, Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Reddit, etc)!

Thanks to Jason for extending this opportunity to me! Also, a big thanks to all of you who continue to support me!
