How to be sure you can deduct your donation on your 2009 tax return
February 28th (this upcoming Sunday) marks the last day that you can make a charitable donation to support the Haitian earthquake relief efforts and be able to claim the deduction on your 2009 tax return. The eligible dates for this special tax treatment of these donations are after January 11, 2010 and before March 1, 2010.
