A search will also yield a wide variety of products and prices. There is an extra load of laundry a week to do (usually offset by the shopping trips) and this should include a pre rinse. It is best to wash diapers separately from other clothing. Liners cost a few extra pennies but make messy clean ups much easier. When my children were growing up we even had diaper service available. (might be a good small business to revive) Yes, they do save money. And, it keeps them from ending up in the landfills or the ocean.
Coupons are a great way to cut down the cost on disposable diapers but reusable cloth diapers can save even more. And just as importantly are not harming our environment for those who are now wearing them. Compare the cost and you’ll see.
@ Carol, thanks for the comment. That’s great advice! I have never known anyone to use reusable cloth diapers, but I have read about the savings. Do you find that the savings outweigh the extra work and hassle?
